I’ve always been a bit of a people watcher. When I was younger, I would go to a social event and just sit and watch the people in the room for a few minutes. It would always astound me how much I could tell about someone even before speaking to them. Everyday I'm reminded of my mindset as I engage with the people around me or on social media.

Here are 10 quick tips on how you can strengthen your own mindset and it will also give you a great insight into the people around you.

  1. Be aware of your thoughts.

When thoughts of jealousy, lack, negativity, or fear arise, stop.
Breathe, and try to figure out why those thoughts came up in the first place and how can you turn them into thoughts of support, abundance, positivity and action? 

  1. Practice gratitude.

Focus or even better write down or journal what you are grateful for every day. This develops a habit of looking towards what is good in your life, and to not focusing on what you don’t have. As Oprah Winfrey once said, “If you look at what you have in life, you will always have more. If you look at what you don’t have in life, you will never have enough.”

  1. Be aware of unlimited possibilities.

With an mindset rooted in possibilities, you are open to any way that abundance will, with the right amount of action, manifest in your life. Don’t get caught thinking that there is only one way for you to make money or achieve your dreams. Loosen your focus, you will be surpriced at how many paths there are to get to your end goal.

  1. Share your gifts.

Confidently sharing your gifts and talents promotes a more positive sense of self-worth. When you are feeling good about yourself, you are open to more good coming to you. No one else can do the things your can do, the way you do it, and the world is waiting for you to share them. 

  1. Watch what you say.

Just as we need to be aware of our thoughts, we must be aware of our words. If you are constantly complaining about not having money, you will continue to not have money. The language we use shapes our reality. When you catch yourself saying things out of scarcity, stop. Turn your words into stories of what is possible.

  1. Make BIG goals.

As you now know, with an "its possible|" mindset, you are open to unlimited possibilities. With unlimited possibilities, why not think big! Write down all your goals and dreams and make them larger-than-life. Your life might end up being much larger than you think it could. Get a good journal to help keep you on track.


  1. Plan for the future.

People with a scarcity mindset wait for things to happen and then react. Instead, dont wait for things to happen, strategically plan, but always start with the end goal in mind. People who believe in the possible, are visionaries and always believe that there are new chances and opportunities ahead. The best way to plan for your future is to journal daily.

  1. Create abundance affirmations.

I believe in the power of affirmations. Saying, out loud, positive words to support what you want in life on a regular basis helps keep you on track towards your goals. Say or write in your journal, you abundance affirmations every day. It does not matter if you are repeating the same affirmation, repitition is good, it help to confirm and cement the message in your subconcious.

  1. Develop new skills.

An "its possible" mentality knows there is much more to learn. When you are developing new skills, you are opening yourself up to more possibilities. Find a course to enhance a skill or hobby that you love. See if it can lead you to a new source of income.

  1. Challenge your beliefs.

If you have limiting beliefs, you are limiting your options. If you grew up thinking, “Money is scarce and I never have enough,” you need to challenge that and turn it into something positive. Instead try saying this, “There is plenty of money for everyone and I have all that I need.” Be aware of all the limiting beliefs you hold and make sure they are not keeping you from a great life..

Observe your thoughts and actions over the next few days and see which mindset comes up more often. A mindset of "its possible" will get you to your ideal life much faster.
