Growth Mindset? Oh, You Mean Life's Little "Teachable Moments"

Growth Mindset? Oh, You Mean Life's Little "Teachable Moments"

An inspirational thought, Idea, and Action to start your week.

Have you ever noticed how life has this funny way of throwing you curveballs, then calling them "lessons"? Yeah, me too.

They say every experience shapes us, and leads us to develop this so-called "growth mindset" – you know, that thing we apparently get from all of life's "teachable moments."

Thought for the week:

"Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass... It's about learning to dance in the rain." - Vivian Greene

Or in my case, learning to dance when the DJ ain't playing your jam. But hey, they say growth comes from discomfort, right? So next time life decides to play its little games, remember: every challenge is just a fancy opportunity in disguise.

Idea for the week:

"The mind is like a parachute. It doesn't work unless it's open." - Frank Zappa

And let's be real, some folks' parachutes seem a little... stuck. And we all know what happens when your parachute does not open! This week, let's flex those open-minded muscles. Listen more, talk a smidge less, and maybe – just maybe – see things from a new angle. Who knows? We might just surprise ourselves.

Action for the week:

"Do not wait until the conditions are perfect to begin. Beginning makes the conditions perfect." - Alan Cohen

Or in other words, just get on with it! This week, let's dive headfirst into something new. Pick up that hobby you've been side-eyeing, get feedback on that thing you've been working on, or just step out of that oh-so-comfy comfort zone. Every step, no matter how small, is a strut towards personal growth.

So, as we wrap this up, remember: life's experiences might be the sculptor, but you? You're the masterpiece. Keep growing, keep shining, and keep proving them wrong 💪🏾.

Have an amazing week ahead.
