Discovering your WHY - reflecting on the week

Discovering your WHY - reflecting on the week

Congratulations on completing week two.

The Dream Cast team has been rooting for you all the way and we're so glad that you joined us on this journey.

Take some time to reflect on the magical journey of self-discovery that you have been on over the past week. Reflect on the hard questions you pondered and answered on your journey of discovering your WHY.
Don't forget that we are just a chat message away if you have any questions or new-found wisdom that you want to share.

This week, in your self-directed coaching you covered:

  1. Journaling is a fantastic way to tap into your inner wisdom. You’ll find that the answers and solutions you discover through journaling are both insightful and powerful - and they work.
This week we introduced you to two methods for discovering your why.
The first method - 7 levels deep you can find in your guided journal.
The second method - Life experiences tied to your life purpose.
You can find the full article here.

  2. This week's inspired quote: Our weekly quote is taken from Simon Sinek's best selling book "Find Your Why". With detailed instructions on every stage in the process, the book also answers common concerns, such as: Can you have more than one why? And, if my work doesn't match my why, what do I do?

Our WHY is our purpose, cause or belief —the driving force behind everything we do. Our HOWs are the actions we take when we are at our natural best to bring our WHY to life. Our WHATs are the tangible manifestation of our WHY, the actual work we do every day.” ― Simon Sinek.

  3. This week's inspired thought:  “Your vision is only actionable if you say it out loud. If you keep it to yourself, it will remain a figment of your imagination”
We love the above quote, it reminds us that every one of us has a WHY, a deep-rooted purpose, cause, or belief that is the source of our passion and inspiration. You may not yet know what yours is or how to express it in words. But, we guarantee, you have one. What is your vision that you need to take action on and tell the world about?

  4. This week's inspired videoThe day I stood up alone.
There are days and occasions in your life when you will stand alone. When you will be disappointed by friends and family. It's on those days that knowing your why is what gets you through.
Our video this week is an inspirational story of photographer Boniface Mwangi finding his why.
As he says, "There are two most powerful days in your life. The day you are born, and the day you discover why."

  5. This week's inspired podcast: Take the next step.
“Our struggles are the short-term steps we must take on our way to long-term success”.
The Dream Cast Project team is always advocating starting with the end in mind, and have dedicated an entire module to this topic, see Module 9. The same applies to your why. There will be many short-term steps to get to your why, your goal, your dreams, or your purpose.
In this week's podcast, Jim Rohn shares his wisdom about how not to live a small life 👇

  6. This week's inspired ideaAnything and everything.

Discovering your WHY - reflecting on the week
On your journey to discovering your why - you will come to realize that the above quote could not be more true.

What you did a week, a month, a year, or even 5 years ago has led you to this point in your life. It's so important to reflect on what got you to where you are today.

Without kidding yourself, if you keep up you current daily practices where will it take you in the next week, month 5 years etc?

We covered a lot this week across multiple channels. Let us know how you are gettin on via our app chat or message us though the app.
